How do I bid?

Going once...

  • Select a product from our easy-to-navigate list of product categories.
  • Click on the "Bid" button and tell us how many of that product you would like and the price you want to pay.
  • If this is your first time visiting BabeBids.com, you will be asked to complete a simple registration form.

Please note that all bids are non-cancelable, so bid wisely.

Going twice...

  • You can track the status of your bids on within the Members Area. A current list of winning bids is also found on the Product Information page.
  • Not always browsing the 'Net? We can automatically send out a "You've Been Outbid" e-mail when you no longer have one of the highest bids. You can then click on the link (URL) provided in this e-mail (or copy and paste it into your browser) to visit the Product Information page and increase your bid.

Sold!

If you have one of the winning bids at the end of the auction, the product is yours and the seller/store will notify you via the messaging system within the site. If you choose the Buy Now option where it's offered, you become an instant winner without waiting for the auction to end! All the details of your order will be sent to you via the messaging system within the Members.


What are the bidding rules?
• Winning Bid

Winning Bids follow this order of precedence:

This order of precedence results in following rules:

No bid carries over to later auctions of like items.

• Bid Price

Initial bid time (earlier over later)

For Buy Out auctions, you become an instant winner if you choose the Buy Out option. Buy Out automatically outbids traditional winning bids.

If two or more bids are for the same bid price and bid quantity, the time the bidder placed their FIRST bid on that lot takes precedence.

The same rules apply when several bidders are tied for an item and we must decide whom to bump from the winning bidder's list.

Buy Out takes precedence over traditional winning bids.

• Minimum Bid Price

The minimum price is the lowest value that can conceivably result in a winning bid (given adequate quantity and an early time of first bid).

Note: If another bidder bids moments before you, you may also be unsuccessful even at the default price. If your bid is not accepted, you simply click on the return link to edit your bid and try again.

• Bid Increment

All bids are made on a per-item basis. The lowest successful bid plus the bid increment will be displayed as the minimum bid. 

•Selecting the Bidding Quantity

You will need to specify the number of items you desire in an action lot when you place a bid (if multiple items are available).

Note: If you are the lowest bidder among the winners at the close of an auction and your total quantity cannot be fulfilled, you will win a partial quantity.

• Lowering Bid Price or Quantity

You are not allowed to lower your price with a new bid.

You are not allowed to lower your quantity with a new bid as long as you have a winning bid on the auction.

If you want to decrease your quantity, you must wait until someone outbids your Bid Price, so that your bid is no longer on the Current Winning Bids list.

You are not allowed to change your bid type if you have a winning bid on that auction.

• Buy Out Auctions

Auctions that offer Buy Out allow you to buy the items without waiting for the auction to end. These items are sold at a fixed price. Once the entire quantity for a Buy Out auction is sold, the auction will close.

• Bid Cancellation Policy

All bids are non-cancelable once submitted.

A record of your non-winning bids is kept. If a current winning bid is disqualified in an auction, the seller/store may restore your currently non-winning bid to winning status at your most recent bid price. This decision is made at the sole discretion of the seller/store.

• Order Cancellation Policy

All orders are final and non-cancelable. If you have a question about a delayed order please check the seller/stores's shipping and delivery schedule.

It is the policy of BabeBids.com to monitor bids and other activity to ensure the proper use of our site. BabeBids.com and it's sellers/stores reserve the right to reject any bid and/or order at its sole discretion and without limitation. Bids and/or orders can be rejected for any reason, especially those containing inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable information, or information which is deemed to have been given in bad faith.

BabeBids.com uses several monitoring and verification systems to screen for suspicious bids and orders. Such orders are subject to investigation and cancellation at BabeBids.com and it's sellers/stores' discretion at any time. We apologize for any delay this may cause in processing of any legitimate order, but this process insures the protection of BabeBids.com's customers, sellers/stores and itself.

It is a violation of law to submit bids using a false name, credit card or any other fraudulent information, and such orders may not be processed, even if the seller/store initially accepts such a bid. Submission of such orders can result in substantial legal and/or criminal risk to those individuals involved.

Be aware that even if you give a falsified name, your web browser transmits a unique Internet address to us, which can be used by law enforcement officials to identify you.

It is BabeBid.com's policy to prosecute those individuals believed to be participating in fraudulent activity to the fullest extent of the law. Currently, the FBI, CIA, US Secret Service, and local law enforcement agencies are responsible for investigating Internet fraud cases.

Are there different types of listings?

Currently, all BabeBids.com auctions are "traditional" style auctions. In this standard format, a product lot-consisting of one product or group of identical products-goes up for auction at a starting price. BabeBids.com also offers Buy Out auctions. This is a traditional auction with a Buy Out option. The last type of listings are items offered for sale at a fixed price; bidding activity will not be conducted for these listings.

• You attempt to outbid other buyers by offering more money for one or more items in the lot.

• At the end of the auction time period, the products go to the highest bidders. 

• For more information about the bidding process, please review the bidding rules.

• Traditional auctions may include the Buy It Now option.

• Each lot that is on auction is unique and bids are only valid within one single auction.

Where can I track my bids?

The Members Area is designed so that you can view all of your bids and orders, both past and present. Your bids are broken down into 2 categories.

Note: This information is available when you log into your Members Area.

• Purchases
Purchases lists auctions that you have won. If you choose to use the Buy Out option in an auction that is open, or purchase an item directly from a store, your purchase will be displayed.

• Current Bids
Current Bids lists auctions you are participating in that are still open.

What Is the Members Area?

The Members Area is your personal page where you can:

Track your transaction history. This includes:

• Your current open bids (both winning and non-winning)

• Your purchases 

Change your account profile (shipping address, billing address and contact information).

Track the status of any order from BabeBids.com items. You can also print a copy of your invoice for a BabeBids.com auction or purchase order. 

Update Personal Information

Add, delete or edit your shipping address
You can update your address in your Members Area:

• Select "Members Area > My Account > Personal Information"

• Edit your address and select "Proceed"

If you want to add a new shipping address, select the "Add Address" button at the top of "Members Area > My Account > Address Book"

Add, delete or edit your email address
You can update your email address in your Members Area:

• Select "Members Area > My Account > Personal Information"

• Edit your email address and select "Proceed"

Change Password
You can update your password in your Members Area:

• Select "Members Area > My Account > Personal Information

• Edit your password, confirm it and select "Proceed"

How To Retrieve A Lost Password

Retrieving a Login:
If you have forgotten your login, simply click on "Forgot Your Username" from the sign in page. Enter your email address and we will email you your login. Please note, your email address must match exactly as we have it in our records, for verification purposes.

Retrieving a Password:
If you have forgotten your password, simply click on "Forgot Your Username" from the sign in page. Enter your username and email address and we will email you your username and a temporary password. Please note, your username and email address must match exactly as we have it in our records, for verification purposes. Once you have signed in successfully with your temporary password, we suggest you change it. You can update your password within your Members Area.

What if I have forgotten both my Login and Password?
If you have forgotten your login and password, you must re-register. Please note, BabeBids.com customer care representatives will not be able to provide you with this information.

Can I track all my bids from the Members Area?

The Members Area is designed so that you can view all of your bids and orders, both past and present. Your bids are broken down into 2 categories.

Special "You've Been Outbid" alert e-mails notify you when you no longer have a winning bid in an auction.

What is the "You've Won" e-mail?
If you win an auction, we will send you confirmation via email.

What is the "uBid Daily Bulletin" e-newsletter?
The "Daily Bulletin" is a daily email listing all of the great deals offered in our "stores" each day.

What are other uBid Auction Alerts options?
uBid Auction Alerts also offers category specific emails that provide weekly updates on special products and features.

How do I subscribe (or unsubscribe) from alert e-mails & the uBid Daily Bulletin?
There are two places to update your e-mail subscriptions:

During registration:
On the on-line registration form you can choose whether to receive the Daily Bulletin, special category emails, or "You've Been Outbid" e-mails.

What types of products does BabeBids.com sell?

The condition of each product is as stated on its Description tab. 

How do I determine product availability?

All products are limited to supply on hand. BabeBids.com makes no guarantee of continued availability should an item be unexpectedly out of stock. This is the responsibility of the seller/store and if you have any questions, please contact the specific seller/store.

The active nature of auctions makes it impossible for sellers to replace or exchange merchandise that is found to be DOA (damaged on arrival) or lost in shipping. No inventory will be reserved for replacements or exchanges; however, the same items may be offered again in new auctions if sellers/stores receive them at a later date.

What payment methods does BabeBids.com accept?

Do I pay sales tax at BabeBids.com?

Each seller/store has their own specific tax policies. Please refer to individual listings or stores for sales tax information.

How can I obtain a copy of my invoice?

You can easily retrieve a copy of your invoice by going to your Members Area under Purchases and clicking on the "View & Print Invoice" icon next to each purchase. This button will take you to a page containing a copy of your invoice.

Shipping

When can I expect the delivery of my order?

You will receive a confirmation message from the seller/store within your Members Area upon winning an auction or making a purchase. Each seller/store has their own shipping policies. Please refer to individual listings or stores for shipping information. Once the product has shipped, and you can then track your orders by going to your Members Area and clicking on the tracking number. Note that shippers sometimes can take up to 24 hours to upload shipping/tracking information to their websites.

Does BabeBids.com ship internationally?

Each seller/store has their own shipping policies. Please refer to individual listings or stores for shipping information.

How do I track my shipment?

Once the seller/store ships your order, they have the option of entering a tracking number into the system.

• You can track your order by clicking on the tracking number that appears on your Members Area after a product is shipped.

• Certain items may not have a tracking number linking to a carriers website. If no tracking number is available, please contact the seller/store.

What do the different statuses on the Members Area mean?
Your order and its status can be viewed in the Members Area. An explanation of each order status is given below. Please note that order status is not updated in real time and may be delayed due to processing times.

Processing
Your order is being processed.This can mean that the item has not been paid for yet or that the item has been paid for but not shipped out yet.

Posted/Sent

Your order has been shipped. The tracking number is posted under the Closed Auctions Winning Bids listing on your My Page. There can sometimes be a delay of one business day from the time the seller/store enters the tracking number in your Members Area until the number is recognized by either USPS, Fed Ex or UPS.

Problem
There is a problem with the order. This usually means that there is a problem with payment.

N/A
Not applicable. This means that you have bid on or purchased an item that does not require shipping, such as a digital download good. 

Unpaid
The item has not been paid for.

Paid
The item has been paid for.

How will BabeBids.com ship my product?

Each seller/store has their own shipping policies. Please refer to individual listings or stores for shipping information.

How does uBid calculate shipping costs?

Shipping and handling costs are dependent on your ship-to address, the shipping types that the seller/store offers and the shipping type you select. 

Returns Policy & Procedures

• The fields that were not accepted will be identified on the top of the registration form.

• Verify that all fields marked with a red asterisk are completed.

Trouble registering to bid or purchase
If the system did not accept your initial registration, please check the top of the registration form:

• The fields that were not accepted will be identified on the top of the registration form.

• Verify that all fields marked with a red asterisk are completed.

If the system accepted your registration but you cannot bid or purchase,

• Verify that you have no characters such as periods, semicolons, colons or apostrophes in your Customer ID/Login or password.
